A minimum viable product is not about cutting corners. It is about validating your core value proposition with the least amount of effort. Here is the framework we use at metomorph.

What an MVP is — and isn't

An MVP is the smallest thing you can build to test your riskiest assumption. It is not a cheap version of the full product; it is a learning tool.

The framework

  1. Name the riskiest assumption.
  2. Design the smallest experiment that tests it.
  3. Define what result would prove or disprove it.
  4. Build only what that experiment needs.

Validate, then scale

Ship, measure, and talk to real users. If the assumption holds, invest with confidence. If it does not, you have saved months and a fortune — which is the whole point.
